Problem dedicating destroyer bows at HOM
So I crafted two different types of bow - one is a recurve and one is a longbow.
However, HOM will not let me dedicate them both! It won't count both of them, even though they are different bows. Is there anything I can do? |

You can only display 1 weapon of each type, bow, shield, stave, wand blah blah
That applies of recurve, short, horn, flat and so on 11 Destroyer Weapons - x Oppressor Weapons - x Tormented Weapons to fill as required.

You should have no problem swapping the bow with someone else's different weapon. Remember that your stuff is not customized before it's dedicated @ HoM.
edit: Unless you dedicated it already... then you are screwed I'm afraid |

Yeah, as far as the HoM is concerned there is only 'Destroyer Bow', 'Oppressor Bow', and 'Tormented Bow'. Thus you can only fulfil the bow requirement once for each of those, even if you have different bow types. The same applies for shields, wands, staves, and foci. In the future, it is a good idea to check the HoM calculator before you craft/obtain anything to make sure you'll be getting something that's still on the 'Unobtained Items' list.

Aw So is my best bet advertising trading my bow for another d-weapon?

If you just want HoM progress and don't want both bows then yes, see if you can trade (or sell) the one you didn't dedicate (as the other will be customised to you). If you like both of the bows though you could always keep them.

Okay. What about staffs? Say if I bought a destroyer staff of smiting, and then a blood magic staff? Would this count as two separate weapons for HOM?

As I said above. The same applies to staves, wands, foci, and shields. Again, refer to the HoM calculator.

Quote:
1. Axe 2. Sword 3. Hammer 4. Bow 5. Wand 6. Offhand 7. Sheild 8. Staff 9. Scythe 10. Spear 11. Daggers So you can do an Oppressor Healing Staff and a Tormented Healing Staff and a Destroyer Healing Staff for 3 different weapons, but you can't dedicate a Destroyer Healing Staff and a Destroyer Protection Staff, you can only dedicate one of them. |

HolyDonut, check the online HoM calculator carefully, and you'll see what counts. Select a monument, and you can see all the possible score bringing elements listed there. Bows, shields, staves all only bring a single point per weapon type.
